MBSC Summer Skating Registration

CanSkate Tots - (Ages 3 - 4) / 5 Classes (August 19 - 23) - $65.00

Monday - Friday August 19 - 23 (2:45 - 3:15pm) - Jim Lind Arena

CanSkate Tots is a class designed to introduce young children to skating. During this 30 minute class your child will learn the basics of balance, falling down, getting up and some basic forward an d backward skating skills. Classes are designed to be fun, and will be taught by an NCCP certified professional coach.

- If you would prefer to pay with Cash or Cheque please go through the registration process as if you were going to pay online. Continue through to the very end where it asks you to pay, this will ensure that you have a spot reserved. Once done, please email info@skatemtb.com to let us know that you would like to pay with cash or cheque so that we can mark you down. Let us know if you have any questions.

NOTE: Skates, CSA Approved Helmet, Gloves and warm clothing are required. (Due to SkateCanada regulations and insurance coverage skaters without helmets will not be permitted on the ice, parents are not allowed to accompany skaters on the ice)

We are unable to pro-rate for classes missed. The CRA Child Fitness Tax Credit Receipt will be emailed to you. Please print and keep handy for Tax time. Duplicates may not be available. No refunds except for medical reasons, with a doctor’s certificate. Refunds will be in the form of ‘credits’ and may be subject to a $10 Administration Fee.. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

CanSkate is Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program, designed for beginners of all ages. When you sign up for CanSkate you will be in 45min program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. Lessons are given in a group format and led by an NCCP certified professional coach. Professional coaches are assisted by trained Program Assistants. Skaters progress at their own rate and coaches make sessions active using teaching aids, music and a wide variety of activities that create a fun environment that promotes learning.

Power Skating- Level 1, 2, & 3 / 5 Classes (August 19 - 23) - $85.00

Monday - Friday (Level 1 & 2 1:00 - 1:45pm) (Level 3 1:45 - 2:30pm) - Jim Lind Arena
Level 1
Recommended for Invitation or Novice Level Hockey players (ages 6 - 8)
Level 2 Recommended for advanced Novice, Atom, and basic level Pee Wee players (ages 8 - 11)
Level 3 Recommended for advanced Pee Wee, Bantom, and Midget players (ages 11 & up)

Power Skating is an action-packed, high energy instructional power skating program geared to hockey and ringette skaters that focuses on balance, power, agility, speed and endurance. Skills, techniques and conditioning drills are taught in a progressive format that emphasizes how the skills apply to game situations.

Junior Academy (Introductory Figure Skating) 5 Classes Aug 19 - 23
$65.00


Monday - Friday August 19 - 23 (3:30 - 5:00pm)
This class is designed for skaters between the ages of 6 and 11 that wish to “fast track” into the sport of figure skating. The Fundamental Movements continue to be instructed, but with a focus on figure skating. Skaters should have passed Stage 4 of the CanSkate program to participate in this program. Classes are 45 minutes in length and figure skates are required. This class is a two day per week program.

Competitive and StarSkate Figure Skating Programs

Primary, Intermediate & Senior (2 weeks available, please note the schedule changes from week to week)
August 12 - 16 ($50) 6:30 - 8:30am (Jim Lind Arena)
August 19 - 23 ($65) 3:30 - 5:00pm (Jim Lind Arena)
