MBSC Registration

CanSkate Tots - (Ages 3 - 4) / 10 classes ($105.00)
Mondays 6:00 - 6:30pm (Jim Lind Arena) January 9 - March 5 (note: there are only 9 Monday classes)
Tuesdays or Thursdays 5:45 - 6:15pm (Jim Lind Arena) January 3 - March 8

CanSkate Tots is a class designed to introduce young children to skating. During this 30 minute class your child will learn the basics of balance, falling down, getting up and some basic forward and backward skating skills. Classes are designed to be fun, and will be taught by an NCCP certified professional coach.

NOTE: Skates, CSA Approved Helmet, Gloves and warm clothing are required. (Due to SkateCanada regulations and insurance coverage skaters without helmets will not be permitted on the ice, parents are not allowed to accomany skaters on the ice)

CanSkate is Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program, designed for beginners of all ages. When you sign up for CanSkate you will be in 45min program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. Lessons are given in a group format and led by an NCCP certified professional coach. Professional coaches are assisted by trained Program Assistants. Skaters progress at their own rate and coaches make sessions active using teaching aids, music and a wide variety of activities that create a fun environment that promotes learning.

NOTE: Skates, CSA Approved Helmet, Gloves and warm clothing are required. (Due to SkateCanada regulations and insurance coverage skaters without helmets will not be permitted on the ice, parents are not allowed to accomany skaters on the ice)

Power Skating- Level 1, 2, & 3 / 10 Classes ($155.00)
Wednesdays / (Level 1 & 2 5:00 - 5:45pm) / (Level 3 5:45 - 6:30pm) January 4 - March 7
Power Skating is an action-packed, high energy instructional power skating program geared to hockey and ringette skaters that focuses on balance, power, agility, speed and endurance. Skills, techniques and conditioning drills are taught in a progressive format that emphasizes how the skills apply to game situations.

Junior Academy (Beginner Figure Skating) 37 Classes ($220.00*) January 4th - May 16
Mondays & Wednesdays 3:30 - 4:15pm (Jim Lind Arena) NOTE: Classes Begin September 7th.
This class is designed for skaters between the ages of 6 and 11 that wish to “fast track” into the sport of figure skating. The Fundamental Movements continue to be instructed, but with a focus on figure skating. Skaters should have passed Stage 4 of the CanSkate program to participate in this program. Classes are 45 minutes in length and figure skates are required. This class is a two day per week program.

Competitive and StarSkate Figure Skating Programs

Primary (2 & 3 day packages available)
Mondays 4:15 - 6:00pm, Wednesdays 4:15 - 5:00pm, & Friday's 3:30 - 4:15pm
(Jim Lind Arena) NOTE: Classes Begin September 6th.


This class is designed for skaters that have graduated from our Junior Academy program and are ready to partake in private lessons with the goal of entering into skating competitions. Skaters will be taught the fundemental skills required be successful in the sport of figure skating.
